And More Science Behind Carbon60

Dear Friends,

I’m back once again to share even more insights into the science behind Carbon60 and the potential of Thrive Whole Body Health to promote healing and increase longevity. To be clear, Thrive Whole Body Health is the C60 supplement I’ve chosen for my family and my business. I’m quite picky technically about these things, but with each study I read, and as I continue to consume the product, my enthusiasm for Carbon60 grows.

If you’re new to the topic of Carbon60, let me recap. Carbon60 is one of the world’s most powerful known antioxidants and was discovered in 1985. Initially it was known that Carbon60 could be used as a therapeutic agent, but Carbon60 is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water, so it was difficult to get it into the body. Eventually scientists discovered that Carbon60 could be bound to lipids/fats. Once combined with a lipid or fat, the carbon60 molecule can penetrate the cell membrane. Research has shown that once inside the cell, carbon60 works as a major antioxidant, decreasing toxins, scar tissue, and inflammation. The net effect is a boost in energy (by up to 58%), reduced joint pain, greater mobility, improved immunity and digestion, and overall better health.

Carbon60 demonstrates the strongest antioxidant activity currently known (270 times stronger than vitamin C) and enhances cell function by negating oxidative stressors (free radicals). Furthermore, potent natural anti-inflammatory ingredients such as L-Carnosine, Serratiopeptidase, and CoQ10 have been added in Thrive Whole Body Health allowing it to further reduce inflammation throughout the body. This reduction in inflammation improves cognitive focus, gut health, joint flexibility, mobility and reduces pain. It detoxifies and supports the immune system, bringing the body back to balance. Consumers have noticed marked improvement within 2-4 weeks, however, many have reported more immediate results.

Laboratory Testing Shows Carbon60
Dramatically Increasing Longevity in Rats

C60 is a known ultra-powerful antioxidant, but the full effects were not completely known. Therefore, in the original research paper published in 2012 entitled “The prolongation of the lifespan of rats by repeated oral administration of [60] fullerene”, a classical model of carbon tetrachloride intoxication in rats was used to test the effect of carbon60-olive oil solutions on oxidative stress. Carbon tetrachloride is a potent hepatotoxin (toxic to the liver) and is widely used in scientific research to evaluate hepatoprotective (liver preserving) agents. Exposure to high concentrations of carbon tetrachloride impacts the central nervous system and degenerates the liver and kidneys, and prolonged exposure may lead to coma or death. Inducing carbon tetrachloride intoxication in rats provided a model for exploring the action of hepatotoxic effects such as fatty degeneration (steatosis), fibrosis, hepatocellular death, and carcinogenicity involving oxidative stress.

In the study, sixty rats were randomly divided into 10 groups of 6 and pre-treated daily with either water (the control groups), olive oil, or olive oil infused with carbon60. At the end of 7 days the rats received a carbon tetrachloride injection which resulted in inactivity, lethargy, and piloerection (bristling of hairs) in all of the rats. For groups pre-treated with water only (the controls), these symptoms persisted over a 24 hour period. In contrast, the animals pre-treated with olive oil or with carbon60-olive oil the symptoms disappeared after just 5 hours!

Twenty-four hours after carbon tetrachloride administration, the livers of the animals were examined. The rats pre-treated with just water exhibited livers that were pale and mottled while their lobes were adherent in most cases. In contrast, the livers of groups pre-treated with olive oil or C60-olive oil, respectively, exhibited normal morphology.

Additional tests were conducted to evaluate the effects of carbon tetrachloride administration on key protective enzymes (e.g. glutathione, catalase, SOD, etc.) in the livers of the rats. The findings showed that for those animals pre-treated with C60-olive oil solutions, the protective enzymes were significantly enhanced.

The study results of C60-olive oil solutions administered in an experimental model of carbon tetrachloride intoxication in rats strongly suggest that the effect on lifespan (90% greater than untreated control group rats) is mainly due to the significant reduction of age-associated increases in oxidative stress. It is notable that when the rats treated with C60-olive oil finally died their body’s showed no illness! They died of old age!
